Sr. Financial Consultant

Summary of Responsibilities:

 

The Sr. Financial Consultant manages the following major skill areas:
Customer Financial Accounting & Projections
Billing & Banking Reconciliation
Customer Financial Reporting & Analysis
Financial Project Management

 

Principle Responsibilities:

 
Typically handles the largest and most complex customer financial accounts.
Provides guidance and assistance as a mentor to less experienced team members.
Manages all aspects of the above skill areas for multiple National Accounts Customers
Over-all accountability in all areas of revenue/profitability projections, reporting, financial accounting, banking, and billing for assigned customers.
Prepares Schedule A 5500 Reporting to customers
Determine appropriate reporting needs for customer, and administrative/financial managers and Directors as required and provide ongoing analysis as needed.
Partners with Account Executive, Client Services Administrative Manager and Client Services Director, and Client Services Administrative Consultant in meeting and exceeding the customers? expectations.
Assists in customer account audits, strategy meetings, account proposals and implementations.
Attends Client meetings in person or via conference call as needed
Participates in cross-functional project teams designed to support key National Accounts initiatives or to enhance operational effectiveness.
Maintains an awareness and knowledge of MetLife?s products and systems.
Partners with Administrative Consultant to create billing and claim structure as appropriate.
Responsibilities for Billing and Banking.
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to the Customer Unit.
Handles ad hoc projects as assigned.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
Working knowledge of all primary Financial Consultant functions: Customer Financial Accounting & Projections, Billing & Banking Reconciliation, Customer Financial Reporting & Analysis, Financial Project Management or proven expertise in any one of the above areas.
Firm knowledge of MetLife?s group products, services and systems.
Analytical thinking and decisiveness.
Ability to work autonomously and to multi-task.
Understanding of account management principles, consultative responsibilities and responsiveness.
Ability to work within hard deadlines and target dates.
Excellent communication skills ? verbal, written and presentation.
Excellent organization skills, interpersonal skills, diplomacy and flexibility.
Ability to balance client needs with MetLife capabilities.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Access software.
