Subrogation Specialist

USAA is currently seeking a talented Subrogation Specialist for our San Antonio, TX location.

As a Subrogation Specialist for USAA, you will provide specialized claims service by recovering or assisting in the recovery of payments made to USAA members (under automobile and property coverages) from legally liable tortfeasors or their insurance carriers.

Qualified candidates need to possess:

2 years of liability adjusting or similar experience in an auto claims environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of insurance contracts, negligence laws and tort.

Strong liability investigation skills, evaluation and negotiating skills and the ability to recognize subrogation potential.

Ability to be analytical and use good judgment.

Proficiency with a PC.

Preferred experience includes:
College degree and/or successful completion of insurance related self-development (AIC, CPCU, SCLA, etc.)
Experience in handling minor to intermediate claims, to include injury claims.
Understanding of the elements of subrogation as well as experience providing direction and feedback to peers.
Experience in handling the Arbitration Forums filing and/or responses.
