We are currently offering positions for individuals who have supervisory or management experience in automobile and/or bodily injury claims handling.

Candidates considered will meet the following qualifications:

? Four-year college degree.

 

? Minimum 5 years? experience in automobile and/or bodily injury claims handling.

 

? Minimum two years? personal lines insurance supervisory or management experience.

 

? Ability to relocate.

 

? Ability to certify technical aptitude.

 

? Advanced education preferred with a demonstrated focus on continuing education in insurance (CPCU/IIA/etc.).


Supervisory and Managerial Requirements:

? Supervise/Manage assigned personnel.

 

? Conduct case reviews and evaluate Claims Representatives/Supervisors performance by continuous review of claims statistics, open and closed file evaluations, re-inspections, and observation of activities in the field and office.

 

? Review the settlement activity of the Field Claims Office to ensure sound systems, service, and security.

 

? Set and adjust claim reserves within authority.

 

? Recommend and carry out programs designed to meet the administrative, technical, training and overall development needs of all assigned personnel.

 

? Promote coordination of Claims and Marketing relationships by instructing agents in methods and procedures of claims handling and by participation in meetings conducted by the Marketing Department.

 

? Approve and sign expense accounts for assigned personnel and all payments for allocated adjustment expense on files supervised.

 

? Maintain communication with competent specialists (for example, doctors, attorneys, and repair facilities) to ensure prompt, economical, and professional handling of all types of claims in assigned area.

 

? Participate in staffing interviews and hiring processes.

 

? Budget and maintain operating expenses.

 

? Must complete a technical certification exam within the first 90 days of hire.

 

? Must complete the Claims Leadership Development Program in order to become a Claims Supervisor.

 

? Must complete the Manager Certification Program to become a Claims Manager.
