Surety Bond Producer

We are one of the largest surety only agencies in the nation with offices in Florida and Georgia.  Our surety bond professionals specialize in providing superior service and expertise in satisfying the surety needs of our clients.  Because of our size and experience we represent more sureties in our marketplace than any other agency.   

Due to our growth and success, we have openings for experienced and new producers in our existing offices.  We are also interested in candidates that have the potential production and management talents to open and manage offices in new locations.

 

 We are looking for candidates that have a thorough knowledge of the surety product line, or strong accounting and financial skill.  The successful candidate will be capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and existing surety bond accounts.

 

Major Responsibilities


1. Prospect for, qualify and meet potential clients.
2. Generate new business from existing clients and target groups.
3. Achieve objectives established in annual producer sales plan.
4. Meet with Clients to learn business and operations and be able to communicate the findings to the underwriters.
5. Meet with Clients to collect underwriting information (including financial statements, work in progress, personal financial statements, contract information, etc.).

6.  Educate the client on the nuances of the bond underwriting process.
7. Gather account information from Client and submit a comprehensive submission to surety.
8. Follow-up on collection issues as reported on accounts receivable aging or similar reports.
9. Participate in trade shows and trade association meetings regularly as scheduled by promoting agency services.
10. Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending insurance carrier training meetings on new products, etc.
11. Assist in marketing company efforts and take lead in marketing efforts as needed.
12. Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management.

Qualifications


Proven ability to pursue and close sales.
Two plus years experience in sales.

Licensed Resident Property & Casualty Producer preferred.
An undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance a real plus.

Compensation

Commensurate with experience or potential sales.  We offer a combination of draws, high commissions and benefits.  Our top producers earn in excess of $250,000 annually.
