PRIMARY PURPOSE: To assist in the supervision, training, coordination, and review of work performed by assigned staff; to establish, address and assess case and unit goals; and to ensure efficient, cost effective, and high quality delivery of Care 30 services to clients by assisting in the supervision and training of centralized case management specialists and case management oversight of cases worked by field specialists.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists in the supervision, training, coordination, and review of work performed by assigned staff Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with internal claims colleagues, providers, FCM staff, clients, and other external managed care vendors Provides case directions and supervision to field case management/utilization review Establishes case and unit goals to achieve optimal outcome; provides ongoing assessment and addresses goals of case management Facilitates closure based on goals and return-to-work issues as liaison between telephonic and onsite case management Assures achievement of customer service/satisfaction goals Manages caseload Supports the Total Performance Management initiative
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance

Education & Licensing:Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience preferred Active RN license required Certification in rehabilitation nursing or a related specialty is highly preferred Valid driver's license required
Experience:Three (3) years case management experience One (1) year supervisory experience required
Skills & Knowledge:Solid knowledge of multiple product lines of medical case management Knowledge of resources available regarding the regulations and parameters of third party reimbursement Knowledge of statutory requirements of different state jurisdictions Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills PC literate, including Microsoft Office products Superior knowledge of TCM software system with ability to impart that knowledge to new colleagues Leadership/management/motivational skills Analytical and interpretive skills Strong organizational skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment
