Excellent career opportunity! Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi is seeking a Director, Corporate Training.

 

The Director of Corporate Training is accountable for reviewing, planning, designing, and implementing training programs to address positional, departmental, and cross-functional training requirements linked to an overall corporate training strategy and standard approach.  The position will develop a corporate training strategy and plan and will establish a Corporate Training Center to support training objectives.  The position will ensure that employees and management are developing technical and leadership skills to enhance their abilities and efficiencies related to their specific responsibilities. The Director of Corporate Training works closely with their Corporate Vice President, Executive Management, Human Resources, and user management to ensure that curriculums and related courseware are developed and implemented to address new and continuation training needs throughout and across the organization.  The Director of Corporate Training will ensure timely, effective, and accurate delivery of training to all trainees from Corporate Management to positional employee levels.

 

The following are requirements for the Director, Corporate Training:

 Must have management experience in a corporate or business environment.

 Must have a thorough understanding of process management in order to identify, recommend, and implement process improvement.

 Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with other employees, prepare quality documents, and deliver clear, concise presentations.

 Must have very good interpersonal skills in order to work in a team environment and interact with personnel at all levels of the organization and especially with his/her staff and peers.

 Requires strong work ethic to commit the time and effort needed to successfully oversee all activities for his/her areas of responsibility and maximize performance levels.

 Bachelor?s degree in Education, or similar field of study that coincides with the field of Training  and 5 years? minimum supervisory work experience in a Training environment of a Company or Business.

 5 years? experience in developing training sessions according to instructional design and developmentmethods. 

 Must possess excellent writing skills with oral communication and presentation skills.

 High human relations skills.

 Intermediate PC skills required to include Microsoft Office Suite.
