UNDERWRITER SR

Republic Indemnity is a flagship subsidiary of Great American Insurance Group - one of the nation's largest property and casualty insurers with more than 125 years of success and 3,600 employees throughout the U.S. We are currently recruiting an experienced underwriter for our Underwriting department. This individual will be located in our San Diego, CA office.

The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting workers' compensation insurance for California employers, and an in-depth knowledge of California's current Workers' Compensation envrironment. We are looking for an independent worker who can work to develop our San Diego book of business. The applicant must have excellent technical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines within tight timeframes and produce a large volume of work with a high degree of accruacy. Consistent and reliable attendance is mandatory.
