Underwriter Trainee

Our client has provided specialized insurance products and related services to their niche market for 80 years. They are a commercial insurance carrier with superior financial results. They currently offer an opportunity to join their Underwriting team in Sacramento, CA. As a Commercial Lines Underwriter Trainee for this company, you will be trained to be responsible to grow and develop quality books of middle market commercial business, producing a profitable loss ratio, and maintaining strong relations with the field force. This will include production, underwriting, and pricing as well as growth and profitability of the territory. To be considered, you will need to offer an undergraduate degree. Recent college graduates with an interest in an underwriting career, those presently working for an insurance organization within a different discipline other than underwriting and those junior underwriters with perhaps around one year of successful commercial lines underwriting experience will be considered. You will be expected to work towards your CPCU designation. This position offers upward mobility within the company though you should expect to have to relocate at some point in the future.
