Underwriting Asst I, C/L

Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensures that policy transactions are issued and changes are recorded accurately and in a timely manner by rating and/or entering transactions for personal or commercial lines of business. Such transactions may be quotes, new business, endorsement, cancellations or renewals. 2. Communicates as needed with agents to obtain and/or clarify information for the rating and entry process. 3. Orders miscellaneous reports needed in the rating and underwriting processes, such as Motor Vehicle Reports, loss history reports, credit checks, outside inspections, loss control, etc. 4. Provides administrative and general clerical support as needed to assure efficient operation of the underwriting team.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School diploma, or equivalent EXPERIENCE: This is an entry level position and requires no specific experience, however, some general office experience is desirable. Some knowledge of personal computers and software applications preferred.
