We are seeking an outgoing individual with excellent communication skills to join our Cypress team as an Underwriting Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for entry level applicants; we like to promote from within and this position offers a great chance to learn the underwriting side of the insurance business. The Underwriting Coordinator will be the primary intermediary between the underwriting department and the sales team. He/she will also handle incoming data and manage received files.

 

Key responsibilities include:
Receiving Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and evaluating the employers’ population data
Scrubbing RFPs for missing information, and inputting data into pricing models
Tracking quotes for prospective clients
Managing files and maintaining the internal quoting log



The qualified individual will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and will be extremely organized. He/she needs to be an MS Excel expert, and also have proficiency in MS Word. Insurance industry experience, particularly in the health insurance field, is preferred, as is prior office support work. A background in customer service would be a plus. This would be a great job for a recent college grad who meets these criteria and is looking to grow with a Fortune 100 Company.
