Underwriting/Marketing Assistant

The Fidelity/Crime Insurance Division of Great American Insurance is looking for a marketing assistant for their Windsor, CT office. Insurance products for this division include: Employee dishonesty, forgery, theft, and computer fraud.

This position will be responsible for standard policy and endorsement input, research accounting issues and agency appointment updates, organizing file documentation, distributing mail and faxes, maintaining supplies of specimen policy forms, worksheets and applications, file manual updates. Provides assistance to the underwriters for policy issuance. This position will also be communicating directly (in person and phone contact) with management, underwriters, field offices, and claims. Will assist the underwriting and claims staff as needed.

Required Skills:
Candidates must have a High School degree and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of the PRO System is preferred. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Prior insurance experience is strongly preferred and basic math skills are required.
