The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) seeks qualified individuals to fill several openings in its Texas Windstorm and Texas FAIR Plan Underwriting and Policy Services Departments:

 

Positions:

Underwriter

Associate Underwriter

Underwriting Clerk

 

Underwriter:

Insurance professionals with 3+ years underwriting experience, preferably with personal lines, homeowner business.  Must have ability to effectively communicate on the phone and in writing with agents and policyholders.  Primary duties will be to evaluate and develop all underwriting information to accept, reject, or modify new business and renewals in accordance with Association guidelines.

 

Associate Underwriter:

One to three years of personal lines experience, preferably residential property.  Primary duties will be to evaluate underwriting information for renewal policy issuance, endorsement and cancellation requests in accordance with Association guidelines.

 

Underwriting Clerk:

Primary responsibilities will be the ordering, monitoring and collating of various reports and creating work products in an image work environment.
