We currently have an opening for an experienced Underwriting Specialist for our office in Chicago.


 


Job Description:


? Establishes, implements and executes corporate commercial underwriting guidelines and strategies


? Takes on and leads trade sector specific special projects


? Participates in audits


? Creates, enhances and re-implements existing technical training modules


? Works as a liaison with AGR centre


? Creates and maintains corporate reports


? Actively participates and contributes in all underwriting related meetings and forums


? Takes up underwriting during underwriting busy seasons


? Works closely with underwriting, legal, claims, CAT analysis team, and operations to ensure quality products


? Backs up other governance team members as is needed


? Takes on team role as needed.


 


Requirements:


? 5+ years of experience in commercial property


? Knowledge of and ability to manipulate all levels of policy forms


?Strong English skills


? Ability to communicate well verbally and electronically with underwriting claims, legal and operations


? Work well as a team player


? Excellent presentation skills


? Good listening skills


? Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and  Powerpoint


 


Desired:
