Unit Manager - PIP

The Hanover Insurance Group is currently in search of a Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Unit Manager within the claims group who will be responsible for the daily oversight of the PIP unit. Some of the specific duties will include leading a team of employees, building a highly engaged workforce to achieve the key business strategies of the organization through effective front line claims handling as well as understanding and creating metrics that will track trends which will allow you to develop strategies that will enhance the business. Additionally, you will be responsible for effective performance management, which will include monitoring and assessing employee performance through spot checks, file reviews and ad hoc reporting. Providing feedback, mentoring and guidance necessary to build and sustain a high performing workforce is a key component of the position. Some other important aspects of the position are relationship building with internal and external customers, monitoring and control expenses related to the claim handling activities.

Requirements:

A Bachelors Degree with 8 to 10 years of PIP experience with expertise in No Fault in Massachusetts, working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Additionally, the incumbent must be a highly motivated leader with effective problem solving skills who anticipates issues and takes ownership for successful resolution.
