Unit Mgr, Surety Administration

Position Description:

Responsible for the leadership of an assigned unit including setting and achieving of objectives, training, development, coaching and counseling of Surety Operations staff. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivery of entire complex, specialized, or critical work processes, projects or deliverables. Additional responsibility includes continually evaluating business processes to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. Position also requires individual to partner with geographically diverse locations.

Prior management experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership specific to areas of developing and coaching others required. Must have negotiation, facilitation and project management skills. Resource allocation, expense management and budget planning experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in achieving aggressive goals through self and team members with a strong customer service skill set. Conflict management, prioritization, ability to multi-task and ability to hold others accountable required. Possesses experience building and maintaining a network of interpersonal contacts to leverage. Surety experience and knowledge of Safeco Surety business systems preferred.
