Overall Purpose and Main Objectives:
Build and implement a Specialty Lines Brokerage capability using our Holyoke Salem Insurance shell as a vehicle for this. Accountable for the creation and development of alternative distribution capabilities to promote and expand the sales and market penetration of current and new specialty products. Build enduring strategic alliances with other carriers that add value or a new capability that compliments our offerings. These distribution channels will include:

? Retail Agents

? Brokers

? Associations

? Direct to Consumer

? Other

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Direct the design and management of all sales and marketing programs for all existing and new specialty products through the development of business plans, pilots and market rollouts.
2. Build network of retailers & brokers in all states for brokerage purposes.
3. Identify partner carriers and forms contractual relationships with each.
4. Promote strong agency relations and continued agency development to ensure the achievement of the company?s marketing and sales objectives. This includes frequent visits to key brokers to develop and maintain good business relationships, provide training.
5. Establish the annual marketing plan and directs the major sales/marketing programs of the Agency.
6. Direct and develops a staff of trained professionals to achieve Brokerage goals and objectives within established budget. Monitors staff performance and provide coaching and guidance as needed.
7. Build entire infrastructure in Middletown and deploy all systems capabilities from Holyoke of Salem Insurance Agency.
8.Identify, hire and train all necessary personnel for this new business



 

 REQUIREMENTS

? Advanced broad marketing and sales management experience (15+ years) in an insurance setting

? Thorough knowledge of property/casualty insurance products and their distribution through independent agents, brokers and wholesalers.

? Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills

? Strong interpersonal skills

? Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience (MBA preferred)
