Word Processor Operator - Nationwide Insurance

Nationwide Insurance, a leader in the property/casualty insurance industry, is accepting applications for a Word Processor Operator.

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Creates routine typed documents, via word processing software/hardware,  such as policies, letters, forms, etc. meeting established quality standards.  May perform general clerical duties. 

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:  Reports to Supervisor

 

DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Creates routine standard documents, simple correspondence, form letters, reports, charts and lists. May transcribe dictated materials.

2. Enters corrections and revisions and proofreads material for accuracy and completeness.

3. Maintains daily production records and schedules. Adheres to service level agreements.

4.  Maintains the integrity of confidential material.

5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  Technical/vocational studies preferred.

Experience:  Six months experience in an office administration role preferred.

Knowledge:  Word processing processes and procedures. Grammar, punctuation and spelling. Basic office administration and clerical procedures.

Skills:  Ability to efficiently operate  a personal computer with word processing software. Ability to type 50 WPM accurately.  Ability to read and follow basic work instructions. Verbal  communication skills to interact with team members. Organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

JOB CONDITIONS: 

Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (non-exempt)

Working Conditions:  Normal office environment.  Ability to sit and key at a personal computer for extended periods to time.  Overtime and/or non standard work hours based on workflow needs.
