Worker's Compensation Unit Manager - P&C Claims Indianapolis

Responsibilities: The unit manager is responsible for supervision of a worker's compensation unit claims staff to ensure timely and accurate resolutions with quality customer service. The responsibilities of the unit manager include leadership of the unit, setting and achieving objectives, ensuring the accuracy of claim payments, reserves and other transactions, and adherence to company standards by file sampling. Additionally, the unit manager is responsible for providing training programs and development of staff in the unit.REQUIREMENTSThis position requires at least 3 years of claims management experience and P&C Worker's Comp technical knowledge. The best-suited candidate will have proven patterns of success, demonstrates the ability to work independently, takes initiative, and can relate well to all types of people at various levels within the organization. Candidates will exhibit solid decision making, strong analytical skills, supervisory and training abilities. A successful unit manager must be a high energy, motivated, self-starting leader. 3-5 years of Workers Compensation claims handling experience required. Workers Compensation first-level management experience is highly preferred.
