Workers Comp. Adjuster - Inside - (CR-06-0116)

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: Resolves Workers? Compensation claims arising from workplace injuries by investigating losses and negotiating settlements. This position is an outstanding opportunity for individuals who value training and are looking for a place to build a career.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Examines claims forms, policies, and endorsements to determine coverages. Interviews claimants and witnesses, obtains official reports and medical information. Sets loss reserves. Prepares reports required by clients, as well as local, state, and federal rules. Controls claims costs. Settles claims by determining insurance carriers? liability, clients? instructions, and authority levels, then making offers to claimants and issuing settlement checks. Recommends litigation when appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS:
? 1-2 years Workers? Comp adjusting experience;

? College degree preferred
? Honest and ethical with a strong work ethic
? Highly organized, able to multi-task and work in an unstructured environment
? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
? Diplomatic, able to work in complex situations
? Strong analytical and negotiating skills
? Excellent computer skills
? Bilingual language skills(English/Spanish) a plus


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
? To advance in chosen career path, designated continuing education courses must be completed with success
? Must have acceptable results on a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check
