The Greenspun Media Group is one of the largest periodical publishers in Southern Nevada.  Our titles include: Vegas Magazine, LVM (Las Vegas Magazine), In Business Las Vegas, Las Vegas Weekly, VegasGolfer, Las Vegas Life, Las Vegas Home & Design, The Ralston Flash, and The NEWS.  We are looking to fill multiple web/internet positions:Web Content Specialist to work with content owners within the Greenspun Media Group as well as partner with other internal publishing teams to publish various publications (magazine/newspaper) to the internet.  Requires a minimum of 4 years of various publishing technologies, including CMS, InfoPath, SharePoint, HTML, XML, schemas, database-driven publishing, tagging and indexing systems, and search.  Also requires knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Homesite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe ImageReady, Adobe GoLive, Dreamweaver, Quark, Ad Server and other publications programs as needed along with experience in day-to-day publishing for various web sites/long term projects. The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to learn, develop, and apply new tools, processes and technologies; experience developing and implementing content properties; experience developing, implementing, and measuring results; and experience utilizing data for ongoing improvement of content properties.  Also required is exceptional attention to detail, troubleshooting/problem solving skills, and strong communication skills.

 

Web Developer will maintain all of Greenspun Media Groups? various websites and their components; as well as design, develop, and deliver a variety of multimedia solutions based on current web technologies and standards. Web Developer must be able to work in a deadline driven environment without sacrificing the quality of work being performed.  Requires a minimum 5 years experience in maintenance, web design and programming and prior experience with object-oriented design methodology and application development in JAVA and J2EE, including Servlets, JSP, JAVA Beans and JDBC.  Also requires proficiency in design and development technologies such as JavaScript, Flash, HTML, PHP, ASP, XML, XSLT, MYSQL, Linux, Macromedia Studio, Adobe Suite products, content publishing applications, analytics and ad serving tools while being knowledgeable in Web Server technologies, and proficient in Web site management with strong site and search optimization knowledge.  Also required is exceptional attention to detail, troubleshooting/problem solving skills, and strong communication skills.

 

Webmaster will be responsible for controlling all technical aspects of Greenspun Media Groups? various websites, including performance issues such as speed of access, and approving site content and will plan, develop, test, edit, maintain, document and control content, look, and flow of websites.  Other responsibilities include evaluating statistical study of traffic patterns while analyzing and developing specifications required for new or revised websites. Requires minimum 5 years experience in administration, maintenance, web design and programming with proficiency in design and development technologies such as JavaScript, Flash, HTML,  PHP, ASP, XML, MYSQL, Linux, Macromedia Studio, Adobe Suite products, content  publishing applications, analytics and ad serving tools.  Also requires knowledge in Web Server technologies, and proficiency in Web site management with tools such as Homesite, Dreamweaver, Quark and other publications programs as needed.  The ideal candidate will possess strong site/search optimization knowledge and a proven ability to learn,  develop, and apply new tools, processes and technologies while managing site performance, underlying databases and content management tools.  Also required is exceptional attention to detail, troubleshooting/problem solving skills, and strong communication skills.
