AJAX/Rich Internet Application Developer

Electronic Ink, a pioneer in the development of user-centered design, is seeking an AJAX & Flash Developer/Consultant for our offices in Charlotte, NC. 

Ideal candidate will be in or around the Charlotte area, although open to exceptional individuals residing elsewhere. Contract engagement working with client for 6-month period, with possibility for additional projects.

Responsibilities:

The individual will serve as the on-site expert in all things Rich Internet, such as creating data-driven Flash components, communicating via AJAX with backend systems, and generally guiding a team in decisions with regard to rich functionality. You will analyze problems and clearly convey both possibilities and pitfalls with regard to your recommendations, as well as work with development team to implement technologies.

Skills and Experience:Excellent communication skills explaining complex issues in a simple coherent manner both in writing and verballyUnderstanding of agile development methodologies (SCRUM, eXtreme Programming)Exceptionally well-spoken and articulateAble to convey approach clearly and simply from both a technical & business perspective

Technical Skills:Thorough understanding of AJAX interaction, from both a conceptual and technical perspectiveAdvanced JavaScript knowledge, including familiarity with available frameworks and librariesAdvanced knowledge of dynamic, data-driven Flash/Actionscript development and interaction with backend databasesExcellent understanding of web standards, table-less web development best practices, expertise in CSSXHTML/DHTML and related display-tier development tools

Compensation is commensurate with experience

Position is available immediately at our office in Charlotte, NC.
