BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST 3

The Business Analyst works with business users within Wells Fargo Home Mortgage to gather requirements and develop potential solutions for a web-based business to business system. The analyst also researches process and technology solutions to resolve business and technical problems. Once the problem has been identified, they will present potential solutions and cost/benefit analysis of each to the business stakeholders and make a recommendation on the best option, so the candidate must be very comfortable/savvy presenting to members of senior management. A lot of time is also spent analyzing processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness by driving out non-value added functions and addressing the root cause of defects. The business analyst will also serve as the lead designer for any/all new projects and/or enhancements that go in the company website.

Although this is a Business Analyst position, there is a very strong emphasis on User Interface Design for our web platforms which ultimately tie into back end systems and middleware. As a result, Web Design experience and experience with back end system is highly desired.

Additional, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Defines the scope of projects & completes preliminary Statement of Work.
Defines business requirements document for proposed solution and works with technology group to make sure solution is being built as defined.
Designing of all web based solutions.
Validating proposed solutions with business partners and customers.
Acts as a liaison between business users and project management
Create wireframe mock ups of proposed User Interface designs.


Minimum Qualifications: Strong conceptual and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines amid shifting priorities. 4-year degree plus 8 years of business experience and 3+ years of Internet strategy or web design experience. 3+ years of experience with gathering and documenting business requirements. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work with users at all levels within the organization. Highly creative. Strong understanding of financial controls.


Preferred Skills: Strong HTML knowledge and Web Design Standards
Knowledge of Web Usability principles
Business and/or Systems analyst skills
Strong requirements gathering skills.
Use Case, RUP and/or UML experience preferred
Experience in User-Centered Design methodologies.
Experience in the home mortgage industry, especially 3rd party business.
Graphic Design experience a plus, or at a minimum
Familiarity with graphic design software programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. 1-2 years of project management experience.
