General Job Description:

This full time position is responsible for tactical support of web analysis functions for the company, primarily through the management of the site change tracking and analysis, using information from internal & external data sources.  This individual will work closely with Marketing, Finance, Merchandising, Operations, Technology and various levels of management on reporting, as well as database and operational processes that contribute to a comprehensive view of the company?s market position. The position also will be responsible for prioritizing / supporting ad hoc requests for other areas of the company.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

? Manage the reporting and analysis of site changes and associated testing

? Work with various levels of management to fulfill data requests, using internal and external data

? Serve as the primary resource for documenting user requirements, relating to data, reports, applications, etc.

? Key resource for the development of processes, relating to list generation and data mart development and maintenance

? Resource for acquisition of external data and software relating to the customer

? Design / develop presentations that summarize and identify key trends in market position (market share, competitive set, relative performance vs. key retail / catalog / web competitors)

? Design / develop on-going reporting regarding product / merchandising group performance against key competitor set

? Communicate and work effectively to ensure that Marketing operational requirements are met

? Assist Marketing, Merchandising and Executive Team management on projects as needed

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

? 4-6 years experience in performing data analysis, online experience is a plus

? Bachelor?s degree, preferably in business, statistics, social sciences, finance or market research, master?s degree a plus

? Targeted marketing experience, particularly in the area of customer email programs preferred

? Experience in data mining, analyzing large datasets & quantifying customer purchase behavior / web visitation trends. 

? Hands-on experience in working with web site analysis tools and/or web activity data

? Experience / exposure to Business Objects or other OLAP tools; experience in the use of SQL, SAS or SPSS data analysis software a plus

? Experience in design & presentation of market analysis results to various levels of management

? Demonstrated work experience in MS Office software (Excel, ACCESS, PowerPoint)

? Accurate and detail oriented

? Highly motivated, a team player and a self-starter

? Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

? Ability to adapt and be flexible to change
