Position Description:

eLogic, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reed Business Information, has a great opportunity for a Business Intelligence Engineer.

This position will work in a team to develop and implement e-Product Business Intelligence strategy for a large publishing company. The BI Engineer will be tasked with focusing on integrating web analytics and other online activity information with cost and revenue information to produce a complete and actionable picture of the business. In addition, this position will work with business and technical staff to understand needs and document business requirements, execute data analysis, data mart architecture, ETL, QA, analytics and reporting. Developing and implementing ETL strategies using Informatica and other products as well as designing and developing reporting with Cognos Reportnet and Powerplay are also an integral part of this position.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in data warehouse design and development is required. The candidate should also be familiar with Internet business models and technologies and experienced in Data Warehouse methodology and Dimensional Modeling.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience with SQL Server or Oracle, Informatica or other major ETL system, Cognos or other major BI platform. Demonstrated mastery of Erwin, dimensional and ER modeling, OLAP and traditional reporting. Experience with the web as both a data source and a way of delivering BI information. Exposure to XML and HTML. Knowledge of statistics and the visual presentation of quantitative data. Marketing, Media or e-Business experience a plus.
