Cognos Ecommerce Analyst

A Utah company is seeking a Cognos Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supporting financial operations and reporting processes, including implementation and updates of Cognos. Specific responsibilities include: Manage the implementation of Cognos Finance at our location. Act as the liaison with both Finance and IT to gather and implement reporting and analysis requirements. Train users on using Cognos Analyst and Cognos Finance. Maintain integrity of report data and structures. Integrate Cognos reports with underlying accounting applications and data repositories. Review and consolidate forecast and actual submissions. Design and implement financial and key performance indicator (KPI) analyses as required. Work with the accounting team to develop world class reporting and process efficiencies. Support a timely, efficient and accurate accounting system close and assist in the team effort of producing timely reports and analysis to management. Analyze new business reporting requirements and programs to determine best fit within existing systems or evaluate and recommend potential new systems and solutions.
