Jupitermedia Corp. has an opening for intermediate-level Cold Fusion Web application developer.  The successful candidate will have experience with web development using Cold Fusion 5 and CFMX.  S/he must have thorough knowledge of development tools, techniques and have proven experience architecting, developing, debugging and fixing performance critical web based applications. This individual should also be comfortable interacting with other business units to design and architect new applications and solutions.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

? Develop rich, ColdFusion applications for JupiterWeb division

? Learn and understand existing platform and its day-to-day maintenance

? Develop and maintain feature add-ons to the existing platform

? Develop and maintain new web applications based on the existing platform

? Assist in managing the development life cycle from conception to testing and deployment

 

Required Experience:

? BS in Computer Science or equivalent

? 2-3 years of Cold Fusion Experience

? 2 years working with MS SQL or Oracle

? 2 years of Software/Web Application design experience

? Understand Object Oriented Programming design

? Intermediate SQL Server Knowledge with at least 1 year experience working with SQL

? Server hosted databases

? Intermediate Database Schema and Relational Database Design Knowledge with at least one large database schema designed by the user, or 5-6 small schema designs

? Intermediate Subversion and CVS experience with at least 2 years experience working with a versioning system

? Extensive understanding of CMS and CPS systems

? Intermediate Javascript Knowledge with at least 2 years experience

? Intermediate XML Knowledge with at least 1 year experience working with XML documents programmatically

? Working knowledge of XML/XSLT, DHTML/CSS

? Understanding security issues surrounding deploying distributed, large-scale web-based applications

? Excellent written and verbal skills with strong problem solving and organizational skill

? Ability to manage multiple tasks to challenging timescales

? Ability to work with technical and non-technical team members
