Digital Media Designer

Are you an extremely talented rich media designer who also shares a love of professional sports? The Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League are looking for a passionate, energetic, creative designer to join our digital media team for a six-month full-time engagement during the 2006 football season.

Title: Digital Media Designer ? Marketing

 

Location: Some onsite work in Flowery Branch, GA (about 45 minutes NE of downtown Atlanta) for special events would be required. Individual must be available to work at the Georgia Dome on Falcons home game days. Otherwise, individual may work remotely at.his or her location, using his or her hardware and software. Some equipment may be provided by the Falcons.

 

Benefits: This is a seasonal contract engagement, not a full time position. However, future opportunities may exist for full time employment.

 

Dates of Engagement: July 15, 2006 to January 15, 2007 (six months). Hours dependent on work requirements, but we would prefer this individual be available during business hours Monday through Friday. 

 

Role: Creative resource dedicated to the marketing department to create and maintain sponsorship-related rich media content for team web properties, Jumbotron, corporate sales presentations and more.

 

Experience: 3-4 years experience in commercial web design preferred, but we will consider all extremely talented, motivated individuals.

 

Responsibilities:

 Create promotional graphics for Falcons web properties. Execute sponsorship deliverables requiring rich media and other graphics creation. Create rich media inventory for Falcons web properties, primarily Flash. Assist in regular re-design cycle of Falcons web properties, balancing innovative thinking and practicality in creating unique navigational elements and rich media modules. Edit raw video for web, Jumbotron and DVD; create transitions, lower-thirds, watermarks, chroma-key effects, etc. Gameday responsibilities including video editing and postgame web production.

 

Required Skills: Extremely proficient in Macromedia Flash and Action Script Programming, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro (or a comparable non-linear video editing application).

 

Must also possess:
Ability to accurately translate business requirements from marketing and corporate sales team into marketing-oriented multimedia design. Polished interpersonal skills and the ability to manage expectations and clearly communicate with clients, vendors, partners and fellow associates. Must be extremely customer-centric (both internal and external customers), passionate, professional and fearlessly innovative. Knowledge of and passion for National Football League and/or professional sports is strongly preferred.

 

Other Preferred Skills: CSS, Javascript, HTML

 

Travel: 10-12 weekend trips per year, traveling with the team to all Falcons road games.
