Director of Web Technologies (Malibu, CA)

A leading publishing company with a portfolio of well known titles on the luxury lifestyle, including Robb Report has an exceptional opportunity in Malibu, CA for a Director of Web Technologies reporting to the CFO. The primary role of this position is to oversee the day to day operations of the Web Department.

 

Responsibilities for this position includes but is not limited to define and deliver the corporate web technology strategy, build enterprise level Internet/Extranet/Intranet technology solutions servicing employees and external contacts, manage and develop relationships with vendors and third party technology companies, interface with heads of departments and sales employees, project manage complex technology projects and manage/track web metrics.

 

Qualified candidates must have a BA/BS in Computer Science/related field and 5+ years of experience with design and implementation of full cycle web applications focused on technology solutions. Direct role in web application development, encompassing management of programmers and content managers are essential. Heavy web programming, strong technical project management, excellent analytical/communication skills are all musts. Proficiency in Photoshop, Quark or InDesign and Acrobat are also required.
