Position Description:

Reed Business Information (?RBI?), responsible for powering a network of 75 websites across several business verticals as well as publisher of many notable publications such as Variety, Broadcasting & Cable and Publisher?s Weekly, is seeking a Director of Online Inventory.

Based in the Boston office, this individual will have the responsibility for maximizing RBI?s revenue opportunity across all e-channels via the establishment of pricing policies, rigorous analysis of e-product revenue and individual campaign performance, and the identification of cross-site opportunities. The Director will manage a small team of inventory managers that serve as the interface from the brands to our outsourced ad trafficking and serving partner, and ultimately manage the RBI network?s ad inventory. In addition, the Director will oversee the ad production for the newsletter operation.

Responsibilities:
? Ensure all electronic ad campaigns are running smoothly and are optimized in accordance with advertiser?s objectives
? Continuous review of eCPM?s and sell through %?s to ensure that RBI is maximizing its revenue opportunity
? Work with brand management and sales management to improve areas of underperformance
? Work with brands to establish and approve all e-pricing and e-pricing models and marketing materials
? Establish best practices for pre-campaign, and post-campaign analysis
? Identify network and affiliate revenue opportunities
? Visit with customers, partners, and prospects as needed
? Routinely make recommendations to RBI senior management on areas for network performance improvement

The qualified candidate will have a bachelor?s degree in a related field as well as 3+ years of internet advertising or marketing experience, as well as experience with managing a staff. We are seeking an individual that has superior analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
