As a result of our continued growth and the success of our business model, we are searching for an Email Industry Technologist who will participate actively in the industry and will be responsible for developing and communicating Constant Contact?s strategy and direction with respect to email authentication, reputation systems and industry standards.  This newly created role requires an individual with the technical strengths to understand industry trends and how they impact our business, as well as the ability to articulate and communicate to the industry at-large our corporate vision and our unique customer requirements.  This is a senior position reporting to the VP of Services.

ExternalRepresent the requirements of the SMB (small-medium businesses), non-profit and organization market places to the email industryTrack and engage in industry discussions involving email deliverability, email authentication, and sender reputationEstablish and maintain relationships with key industry participantsTake a leadership role in Constant Contact?s ESPC membershipAttend and speak at industry eventsParticipate in industry standards groups and with leading vendors regarding emerging technologies

InternalLead the business strategy regarding Constant Contact?s ongoing achievement of the highest possible delivery rates of email from our systemsWork with the internal deliverability team to address internal as well external email delivery issuesDrive projects related to deliverability and reputation systems

 

 

Skills and ExperienceRequiredB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent Extensive experience in large scale email operations (sender and receiver)Thorough understanding of email RFCs and email communication in practiceFamiliarity with email industry issues around email deliverability, anti-spam initiatives, email authentication and other industry initiatives such as SPF, SenderID and DomainKeysExcellent written and verbal communication skills including experience speaking in public forumsProject leadership skillsStrong self-motivation
