Lab Manager

Juniper Networks is seeking an Engineering Lab Manager to oversee the creation and sustaining of a new development R&D Lab. The Lab Manager will work with hardware and software engineering to define lab requirements, partner with the building planners to design the development and test lab.  The Lab Manager will also be responsible for sustaining the lab and managing rapid growth in equipment and infrastructure driven by the product development teams.

Responsibilities
?Define lab infrastructure needs to support hardware functional testing and software feature testing.
?Setup test environments for hardware validation testing, software feature testing, research projects and proof of concept exercises. 
?Forecast hardware requirements and lab growth.
?Gather price quotations for hardware equipment and software applications.
?Create purchase orders and work order proposals for new hardware and software procurement.
?Administer servers within Engineering.
?Provide status and visibility on lab resource availability and test configuration builds.
?Troubleshoot problems.
?Perform regular maintenance and repair of lab hardware.
?Maintain equipment calibration schedules and activities.

Requirements
?10+ years lab management experience.
?Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
?Outstanding communication skills, attention to detail and self-directed work ethic.
?Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software configuration problems.
?Ability to develop clear and concise proposals, system diagrams, and network diagrams.
?Ability to forecast lab growth and develop expansion planning proposals.
?Expert knowledge of backup, imaging, restoration policies
?Strong knowledge of Java Application server administration etc?? (Need input from Sury and Harshad)
?Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking topology, routers, switches, firewalls
?Strong knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP
