External Proofreading Manager

We have an immediate opening for a management profession in our Austin, Texas headquarters.? This position supervises our external proofreading team ? a large pool of contractors using a virtual application to proof the full-text output of optical character recognized book pages.? It requires someone with excellent skills in training and supervising entry-level team members.? Experience on the Internet with long-distance learning, webinars, and/or customer support is a differentiator.? This full-time position reports to our Manager, Digitization Services, and includes solid base pay commensurate with skills and benefits.

Duties:

? ?Manage the online application process to add new team members

? ?Conduct weekly best practices training sessions for new team members

? ?Manage/address all online proofing related technical issues and communicate/escalate to appropriate IT staff

? ?Manage sourcing and advertising for external online proofreading team members, ensuring a consistent applicant pool at all times

Requirements:

? ?3-5 years related experience managing large pool of entry-level staff

? ?Previous employee training experience required

? ?Outstanding customer service and problem resolution skills

? ?2 years online marketing experience a plus

? ?Strong time management and organizational skills
