Fast track opportunity to a VP of Operations role

Meta Interfaces is seeking a highly intelligent and motivated Director of Operations to join our 15-person team in our downtown San Francisco office. We?ve developed patented technology that is on the cutting edge of web-based multimedia content delivery. Meta Interfaces is a highly profitable privately held company. The company has quadrupled its revenue each of the last two years. With the right team in place the company can be an order of magnitude larger.

The Director of Operations will be the most senior business person aside from the company founders and thus is critical to the company?s future success. The person that performs at an outstanding level in this role will be on the fast track to a V.P. of Operations position and will be extremely well compensated (e.g. a double or tripling of a six-figure starting salary.) This position is perfect for someone who feels disillusioned with bureaucratic corporate culture and wants to work for a company where stellar efforts will be recognized and rewarded.

Responsibilities and Duties
?Take ownership of overseeing all non-engineering company functions including accounting, business development, marketing, content licensing and office operations.
?Directly manage a team of eight people ranging from business development director to office manager. Anticipate recruiting and training an additional ten team members in the next 18 months.
?Work closely with the Director of Engineering to prioritize features that involve the operational side of the business (e.g. administrative support, marketing, financial modeling, etc.)
?In the first six months, flawlessly execute on short-term company goals. Beyond six months, be a key player in crafting corporate strategy and defining company initiatives and then executing on them.
?Along with the Director of Engineering, be a leader in the company. Understand the difference between leading people and managing them.

Skills Required
?6+ years of experience in high-tech, 3 years of management experience
?Excellent oral and written communication skills
?Experience in scaling a 10 to 20 person company to 50+ people strongly preferred
?Candidates with a background in analyzing and solving business problems with an analytical approach are strongly preferred.
?4 year college degree. Candidates with a degree from a top school is a plus
?Experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent project-tracking tools

The primary way that Meta Interfaces uses its technology to make money is by creating and maintaining one of the best adult video sites on the web (VideoBox dot com). We license adult DVDs to populate the site with content and then direct internet traffic to the site. Needless to say, you must be comfortable working in an environment where you will be exposed to adult content.
