GUI Designer

Harding Marketing in San Jose, CA is an established marketing services/web solutions company serving high-tech clients in Silicon Valley and abroad. This position is a full-time staff assignment. We are searching for candidates in CA and ID. 

 

We?re looking for a special Designer with 5-6 years of professional experience with graphical user interface design and implementation for web applications and websites. Our candidate will be responsible for defining and building the complete user experience and interface. Specifically we need someone with experience designing business-to-consumer internet products/services.  Knowledge of effective web application design principals mandatory.  General knowledge of human factors/usability issues and limitations surrounding web based interfaces preferred. Participate in usability studies, collect feedback, and integrate it into product releases. Our designer needs the ability to articulate ideas and design strategies in written, verbal, and graphical forms; build functional prototypes.

 

Must be proficient in Photoshop, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Working knowledge of AJAX, PHP, SQL, and FLASH  preferred.

 

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment for a high-tech client base. Excellent attention to detail along with an ability to work directly with internal teams and external clients, file management, and customer service required.

 

A degree in Graphic Design /Industrial/ Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction or Human Factors preferred. We offer a personable, exciting working environment plus competitive salary/benefits.
