Book Search Operations Supervisor - Boston

This position is based in Boston, MA.

In this role, you will hire and supervise a high-quality production team supporting a scanning and/or quality control operation.

Responsibilities:
Team management, conflict resolution, and team motivation.
Oversee all personnel training.
Monitor productivity and quality of hourly workers; take corrective action as necessary.
Keep daily statistics, recognize trends, maintain productivity levels, etc.
Ability to escalate problems as appropriate.
Focus on quality control factors.
Partner with third-party employment agency on HR issues.
Training on equipment for maintenance and calibration as required.
Support the design and implementation of new process and material flow.
Create production schedules and ramp-up projections.
Organize production area.
Track operator's billable hours.
Qualifications:

Four year degree required, engineering degree a plus.
Production supervision experience, especially with hourly operators required.
Some technical experience associated with equipment maintenance or system administration, etc. desirable.
While the key focus is supervision, the supervisor will be called upon on occasion to support tasks such as machine calibration and debug, quality control, process redesign, material management and control, software tool evaluation, etc.
Requirements:
Familiarity with common computer software packages, especially spreadsheet capability.
