Vertical Markets Director, Entertainment - Irvine or New York


This position can be filled in either Irvine, CA or New York, NY.

Google's world-class Advertising Sales team drives business revenue growth across a variety of verticals and regions where Google does business. The team works collaboratively with all Google sales channels and resources to manage relationships and grow revenue with new and existing customers.

Main responsibility is to develop and execute on a strategy for driving ad sales with all advertisers in entertainment category on a national/international level, working with all Google sales channels (Regional Sales, Inside Sales, Online Sales) and resources (product/product field marketing). Specific responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:
Developing strategic plan for accelerated long term category revenue growth.
Solidifying relationships and maximizing revenue growth with top vertical-specific advertisers.
Working closely with all Google ad sales teams to sell and grow all vertical-specific accounts.
Collaborate with product team, AdSense (monetization product for Google partner sites) and other Google departments to fully develop potential value for vertical customers.
Representing Google at vertically targeted industry events, associations, and press.
Hiring, mentoring and managing Vertical Team members as well as regional sales team staff in all US locations.
Providing training, guidance and feedback to all sales teams in your category.
Providing entertainment clients, directly and indirectly, with true consultative sales experience.
Utilizing and leveraging all available resources (marketing, public relations, product and engineering, etc) to achieve non-revenue objectives.


Requirements:
BA/BS degree required, preferably from top-tier school.
Minimum 12 years progressive work experience.
6+ years of Entertainment experience, preferably in marketing or promotions.
3+ years sales management preferred.
Proven record of strategic development of Fortune 1000 client base.
Recent, relevant Interactive Advertising experience.
3+ years at a top ranked internet site preferred.
Exceptional academic experience required; MBA preferred.
