This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark at one of the nation?s top 50 universities by becoming an integral part of the Interactive Media Group, where you will work with our new Associate Director of Interactive Media to develop the department?s practices, standards, and processes in a high-pace, high-tech environment.

The qualified applicant must be passionate about utilizing his or her skills and knowledge to advance the university?s goals through creative excellence in interactive media.

 

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

?  Develop information architecture, including site maps, flowcharts and storyboards on multiple online initiatives for a variety of schools, colleges and organizations associated with Yeshiva University

?  Work under direction of the Associate Director of Interactive Media to streamline information flow and user interaction with YU.edu and all subordinate Web sites

?  Interact on daily basis with multiple internal clients to identify, document, and structure their online development needs

?  Provide information architecture support guidelines to the Interactive Art Director and Senior Web Designer in re-designing multiple areas within the existing online structures and developing new areas consistent with specific educational and marketing goals

?  Collaborate with system architects and back-end programmers in utilizing content management system

?  Develop a thorough understanding of the external and internal user base and complex interaction flows within YU.edu and other sites

?  Assist in establishing internal creative and production processes

 

Professional Qualifications:

?  4 years of experience in Web information architecture and development

?  Ability to absorb and document large volume of information on multiple comprehensive Web projects

?  Excellent skills in quick delivery of site maps, flowcharts, and storyboards

?  Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

?  Familiarity with content management systems

?  Familiarity with HTML, CSS, DHTML, database connectivity and server-side scripting

?  Familiarity with the latest trends in information architecture, including the use of podcasts, streaming video and audio

?  Computer proficiency in PC and MAC platforms

?  Well organized and highly detail oriented team player that sees through each project from conception to final delivery

Must be able to provide multiple examples of information architecture work on medium to large-size corporate Web sites.
