Job Title:  Channel Manager, Musician?s Friend, Inc.

 POSITION SUMMARY

 

Develops, guides, and maintains programs that will ensure sustained revenue and profit growth for the company. Manages development of new revenue opportunities and existing online distribution relationships for Musician?s Friend, Inc.?s Web properties, including Giardinelli.com and MusiciansFriend.com, the leading direct seller of musical instruments in the world.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below.  Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 Work with brand managers and internal team to align strategies and maximize revenue growth and selling opportunities on vendor sites, Amazon.com marketplace, eBay, and other distribution channels.

 Responsible for marketing-side relationships with key channel providers, including Amazon.com, eBay, and Comerxia.

 Manage market entry of MF online properties into Canada and outside North America.

 Identify and evaluate new channels and new business opportunities. Ensure they support and leverage core brands while extending it efficiently and effectively into new markets.

 Develop new revenue streams and programs to support and grow MF online properties and customer base.

 Where appropriate, work with brand managers to ensure consistency of marketing messaging across different distribution channels.

 Monitor and analyze marketing channel performance and make ongoing improvements.

 Manage Affiliate Program Manager and oversee online affiliate marketing efforts.

 Communicate plans, programs, and results to senior corporate management on a consistent basis.

 Responsible for directing contractual negotiations, and assisting/participating in the negotiations as necessary. 

 Some travel may be required

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fieldFive years business development and/or channel management experience in an online and/or multichannel retail environment required. Strong e-commerce, online merchandising and marketing experience required.Experience managing online affiliate programs preferred.Well-versed in online technology and marketplaceInternational business experience a plus
