Lead Java Developer

Job Description:
We currently have an opening for a Lead Java/J2EE Developer in New York

The successful candidate will manage and oversee initiatives of varying degrees of difficulty, scope and depth across our margin and financial risk analysis across multiple asset types such as: equities, equity derivatives, fixed income, derivative, futures and credit derivatives. The project deals with large scale Oracle data store, Web services, multiple analytical engines and reporting services.

Responsibilities:
* Lead developers team
* Train junior developers
* Drive resolution of strategic technology initiatives within margin and risk.
* Develop testing methodologies to be used by the technology team
* Liaison with the business analyst during the life cycle of the assigned projects

Job Experience:
Qualifications:
* JUnit and understanding of dependency injection/IOC containers
* Oracle/Sybase SQL, Full end to end Java development. Desired: UNIX, Eclipse, Spring, MQ messages, Web Containers (Web logic/tomcat), perl
* Experience in Framework: Web Services, XML, Swing, SOA
* Experience in technology product areas and/or project management within the securities industry
* Previous Brokerage experience desired
* Proactive attitude; disciplined, organized, assertive, quick learner, team player
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent written, oral presentation skills and relationship building skills
