Lead Technical Architect

Wunderman, a global leader in providing relationship marketing solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Technical Architect for a position in our New York City office.

The ideal individual will be responsible for managing large software development projects for global clients.



Specific responsibilities include:Responsible for overall project technical quality and delivery of project to specs. Assessment of vendor technologies for possible client implementations. 'Points of View' and Recommendations of possible client solutions. Communication with client technical stakeholders. Collection of technical requirements. Documentation of technical specs to industry standards (UML, CMMI). Management of project teams development resources. Management of project specific technical vendors.

Qualifications include:Bachelor?s degree with 5-10 years of related work experience in IT consulting, including roles in analysis, design, systems integration, architecture, and application development required.The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience acting as a technical team leader on at least two large custom application development projects on-time, on-budget and also have experience working in a variety of project types (vendor selection, strategy, implementation, full life cycle development, etc)

Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred.

Extensive experience in Microsoft.NET, C#, Java, J2EE, middleware, web-centric, and service oriented architecture technologies. 

Product-specific knowledge and implementation experience within the BEA, Sun, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, WebMethods? or open-standard middleware product suites (application server, portal server, integration server, directory server, identity server)

Experience as a technical lead through all phases of the project (architecting, designing, developing, coding, and troubleshooting)

Credibility gained from certifications, training, published technology White Papers/articles or speaking engagements.

Ability to compare and contrast products, platforms, and software development methodologies.

Content Management Systems required.
