Lead Web Designer

Fluency Media, a rapidly growing Ann Arbor based online marketing company, is a leading provider of online sales and marketing solutions for non-technical people. We offer online customer acquisition solutions that utilize web media, search engine marketing, opt-in email marketing, web analytics and web flow optimization to drive sales for clients at the lowest customer acquisition costs.

We are looking for a Lead Web Designer to work on client and in-house projects. The position entails working with national brands on highly visible web sites. The job is perfect for someone who is very creative, works independently and has a high level of web marketing and email design.

This position brings with it the opportunity to grow into a creative leadership position with Fluency Media.

Note: All candidates must provide links to sample work, including Flash and web site interface design to be considered. A great deal of consideration will be given to level and sophistication of design skills.

Responsibilities include:
-Creating high level graphic design concepts and wire frames for web sites
-Creating online marketing promotional designs such as emails, banner ads, etc.
-Having strong creative design leadership and working directly with client for design direction
-Providing project estimates for design work
-Working on multiple projects simultaneously
-Providing updates on project status and progress
-Working within project estimates and timelines to accomplish goals

Requirements:
-Strong creative sense
-Excellent graphic design capabilities
-Knowledge of web site and web marketing design techniques
-Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-4+ years web graphic design experience
-Degree in Art or Design: BFA, MFA, etc.
-Self-starter, detail-oriented with excellent people and time-management skills
-Ability to multi-task
-Proficiency in: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash

Preferred:
-Ability to estimate projects
-Ability to build or update web site page code
-Familiarity with: Web animation, ActionScript, ASP.NET, Java Script, ASP (VB Script), SQL, XML, Web Services, IIS, SQL Server
