? Assume role of internal data and analysis expert for business unit

? Work closely with management team to clearly define business questions being posed

? Initiate analytical projects based on statistical processes to uncover relationships & patterns within artist member, customer, product and other data

? Conduct segmentation and profiling studies

? Interpret and present findings in an understandable manner for a non-analytical audience

? Ensure data integrity supports all analyses and recommendations being proposed

? Create basis for computing business unit KPIs such as artist/customer lifetime value, activity & satisfaction benchmarks, acquisition & retention metrics

? Develop & maintain KPI dashboard for real-time monitoring by management  team

? Recommend market research & formalize test cell or survey design via best practice methods

? Interface between business unit & internal IT/dBase support to ensure ongoing quality & completeness of data asset

? Suggest ways and follow through on projects to improve the value of our data asset

? Support ad hoc analytical requests of management team

? Additional responsibilities as required


Requirements:

? 3-5 years experience in a combination of web analytics, research, database marketing, financial modeling or business performance measurement

? 2+ years programming & analysis experience with SPSS (or SAS) & SQL Server (other OLAP a plus) + expert knowledge in Excel

? Hands-on experience with website analysis tools and web activity data

? Experience in data mining, handling & analyzing large datasets, working with multiple data sources, maintaining & upgrading a database asset

? Solid foundation in statistical methods (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing), financial analysis, database marketing

? E-commerce experience strongly preferred, with good understanding of Internet business models, online processes, concepts and strategies

? Possess confidence & fluency to employ out-of-the-box envelope-pushing analytical methods

? Balance of business consulting acumen & robust analytical capabilities

? Strong communication and report writing skills

? Highly motivated self-starter and cooperative team player

? Ability to adapt and be flexible to change in a high-growth setting with regular uncertainty

? Bachelor?s degree required; ideally in business, statistics or e-commerce.  MBA a plus

? Familiarity with the Art business or artist community a plus
