The O&I Communications Manager supports internal communication strategies, executes communications tactics, and ensures quality implementation of assignments and duties as assigned. This position will also be responsible for supporting presentations, company and department newsletters, online and print collateral, as well as website content.

As a member of the communications team, you will also support several key initiatives, including quarterly and monthly meetings and the recognition and awards program. The role requires very strong communication skills (written and verbal), excellent organizational skills, as well as a high level of proficiency in multi-media presentations and Microsoft Applications.

Specifically, the communications specialist for O&I will:

Assist in the execution of the O&I communications plan specifically targeted on internal communications to ensure that the positioning and messaging is consistent with the positioning for O&I and for the company.

Draft, edit, review internal communications targeted to O&I and the general VeriSign employee population regarding our corporate services such as the Global Service Desk. This would include brochures, fact sheets, e-newsletters, email announcements and notifications, intranet/web copy and updates, presentations, etc

Serve as the editor for the O&I quarterly newsletter, including planning the issue with the O&I Communications Program Manager, soliciting and drafting articles, and working with the web developer to execute each issue.

Serves as a resource to O&I department on various internal communication initiatives. Develops and executes internal communications strategies and processes through existing and emerging communication channels.

Works with outside vendors for premium gifts, printing and graphic needs.

Builds partnerships with individuals at all levels within the organization and works across multiple functions.

' 5 years experience in marketing communication, preferably with a technology company
' BS/BA in English, Journalism, or Communications
' Must have excellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
' Must have strong writing and editing skills with excellent knowledge of grammar and AP style rules
' Graphic design and HTML skills a plus .
Flexible and able to adapt to evolving requirements
' Ability to manage multiple activities/projects and meet deadlines
' Work well in a team environment and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
' Initiative and strong customer service orientation
