We are looking for an experienced Manager, Business Development to join the Citysearch ?Business Development? team.  Business Development is responsible for establishing and building partnerships that strategically align the Citysearch brand and increase market share.  Business Development in particular drives all strategic partnership and alliance initiatives related to merchant acquisition, content and traffic syndication and emerging business.  Business innovation and advancement of new and existing partnerships is the key focus of the group.  You will play a key role in developing the strategy and execution of partnerships and alliances for the Citysearch division.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Business Development position will be responsible for establishing and managing partnerships that will grow Citysearch?s business. The manager will support corporate development activities, including analysis, modeling and assisting with mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, the manager will work with Citysearch?s executive team to establish strategies and tactics which will create the value and growth required to support Citysearch?s objectives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Identify and qualify business partnership opportunities to onboard blocks of merchants in scale and support company goals

? Identify and execute partnerships with complementary services looking to leverage the Citysearch local merchant inventory.

? Account manage and support existing partnerships both internal and external to IAC/InterActiveCorp. 

? Identifies future growth opportunities for Citysearch based on analysis of the local goods and services space, competitive landscape and customer requirements and user needs.

? Provides marketplace and competitive analysis that supports the business strategy and informs the product initiatives.  Works closely with the product and marketing teams to ensure strategies are executed.

? Build and maintain productive relationships with other corporate executives and business unit officers with target company management teams, and with industry and professional networks that can assist in development initiatives

? Serve as the key analytical resource to senior business unit and corporate management on the full range of development activities, including financial analysis, business analysis, strategy analysis and formulation, due diligence, structuring, contract terms and conditions, valuation, negotiation and transition/integration of initiatives

? Work with corporate executives and business unit officers to identify, analyze and develop appropriate opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances and joint ventures; conduct due diligence and recommend a course of action

 

REQUIREMENTS:

? BA/BS in Finance, Business or related field, required.  MBA preferred.

? Minimum of 5 years experience in a business development or finance role.  Investment Banking, management consulting or internet media background preferred.

? Past experience carrying a quota specifically in a merchant acquisition capacity.

? Understanding of traffic quality and management of how to maximize traffic yield.

 

? Solid understanding of Pay-For-Performance/Search business model.

? Strong negotiation, deal creation and closing and financial modeling experience.

? Ability to work independently, take initiative, work across functional teams and drive results.

? Proven ability to analyze business performance, understand underlying drivers and set and achieve goals.

? Experience building relationships with business partners as well as across functional teams.

? Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.

? Proficient in using various desktop applications including, the internet, MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.).

? Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
