Merchandiser
Responsible for the merchandise planning, reporting and development of online assortments for Zale Corporation websites.
Responsibilities:
Plans merchandise assortments coherent with the Brand stategy
Analyzes buying trends to forecast product demand.
Shops, recommends and purcahses online only assortments.
Manages the replenishment process; open-to-buy control.
Maintains sales and inventory mix between classifications to achieve overall margin goals.
Utilizes web analytics to make merchandising decisions with respect to product layout, ranking, as well as, to maximize sales.
Partner with marketing to determine product and concepts for homepage refreshes and e-mail campaigns.
Supervises a team of exempt Brand Analysts and Assistant Merchandisers.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mercahndising, Marketing or related field with 3-5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning.
Knowledge of Oracle, Arthur, OFA, Business Objects, content management tools and web analytical tools.
Advanced level of Excel.
Knowledge of Access is helpful.
Must have excellent verbal/written skills.
Strong command of retail mail.
Understanding of calculations for markdowns, gross margin, inventory turn, ROI and classification mix.
