Position Description:

Reed Business Information (?RBI?), publisher of many notable publications such as Variety, Broadcasting & Cable, Multichannel News, Interior Design and Publisher?s Weekly, is currently looking for an Online Inside Sales Director to join the New York office. In addition to the print publications, RBI has a network of 75 websites across several business verticals.

The Online Inside Sales Director will be responsible for selling the RBI network of sites to Fortune 500 advertisers. This individual will be tasked with interacting with both clients and agencies to sell online advertising. This position will also be responsible for developing and implementing an inside sales strategy and building an online inside-sales team from the ground up that is focused on selling online advertising through telemarketing and some face-to-face meetings.

To qualify, you must possess 3+ years experience in online outside/inside ad sales and team management in a high volume environment. We are looking for a strong team player with excellent follow through, and someone who has excellent communications skills. BS/BA degree in Marketing or Communications preferred. We are seeking an individual that possesses a creative mind, the ability to multi-task, and a deep understanding of the electronic media industry. Additionally, he/she must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Comscore/Media Metrics and or Nielsen/NetRatings a plus. EOE.
