Paid Search Strategist

Performics, the performance-based marketing division of DoubleClick, is the leading provider of online marketing services and technologies for search, affiliate, and data feed marketing. We are currently seeking a talented Paid Search Strategist.

 

The Paid Search Strategist is a dynamic and forward-looking marketing professional who crafts innovative marketing strategies for Performics? world-class clients. Drawing on Performics? unique blend of data resources, analytic tools and industry insight, the strategist will lead account teams through our Search Strategy Discovery process which includes auditing/mining existing programs and developing consumer profiles and competitive assessments that ultimately lead to high level strategic recommendations. A strong communicator and strategic thinker, the Search Strategist will play a key role in ensuring that the search strategy team?s strategic framework/methodologies and best practices are rolled out consistently across teams/accounts and that we receive regular feedback on this application to continuously refine the approach as our clients and the search channel evolves. 

 

Responsibilities:Develop and deliver client strategies in consultation with Account Directors, Clients, Search Engine Partners and other members of search strategy team. Understand client?s objectives, competitive landscape, search opportunities and characteristics of searchers in the vertical. Combine this with thorough understanding of search industry and distribution opportunities to create effective and compelling strategic plans. Develop in-depth expertise and contextual insight in several business verticals. Contribute to Performics' search strategy, a framework for planning, executing and growing marketing campaigns encompassing all channels of search. Identify opportunities for case studies and applications of strategy plans across clients and verticals. Build benchmarking tools and analytics for assessing performance of client search strategies. Consult as required with search strategy teams to develop best practices and improve processes.

 

Qualified candidates will have:5-7 yrs related experience in field of online advertising, direct and/or interactive marketing, or consulting. Should include at least 2 years of hands-on experience in search.Strategic thinker with proven consulting skills, with the ability to work within a team to meet objectives. Success in an entrepreneurial environment. Team player and can-do attitude Exceptional research, analytic, presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills. Master?s degree preferred, concentration in Marketing or Advertising preferred. High competency level in Powerpoint, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
