Principal UI Designer

Job Responsibilities:
Communicates complex interface design information in a strategic context.
Acts as a recognized and active resource on interface design issues and computer/human
interaction for others in the company.
Coordinates with engineering to create solutions and addresses needs for additional advanced functions.
Possesses complete understanding of the overall project vision.
Identifies trends that will have an impact on the work unit or particular product and articulates implications.
Works closely with design and technical leads to establish and maintain functional and aesthetic product consistencies.
Questions problem definition and reframes questions/problems to address underlying issues.
Originates new concepts, strategies or innovative approaches that have significant impact on the company.



Job Requirements:
Uses advanced knowledge associated with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Approximately 6-8 years directly related experience in designing online and consumer software interfaces.
Developing past experience into new processes and approaches.
Handles questions about complex material easily and persuasively.
Regarded as high-level expert possessing in-depth knowledge of CC tools, work procedures and the online industry.
Possesses strong interface design skills,including execution of clean, clear interfaces for a variety of consumer audiences.
Possesses an expert understanding of interface design principles.
Possesses expert knowledge in the interface limitations and capabilities of a broad range of platforms including proprietary online, open web, television and CD/DVD ROM.
Applies technical knowledge to determine solutions and solve complex problems.
Uses extensive background in user interface, product and multimedia design, scripting, prototyping multiple platforms to design/develop interfaces/interactions for cutting edge features/functions that enhance - and remain
Consistent with - the overall product design.
Uses experience and analysis to develop cross-functional, creative and innovative solutions.
Possesses sufficient knowledge and ability to constructively challenge current practices or approaches.
Possesses the ability to think 'outside the box' to provide high-level customer service and cross-functional team interactions.
