Product Management Leader

Confluence Commons, Inc. is a well-funded consumer internet start-up that is looking for an exceptional person to lead our product management efforts and eventually create a product management team.

Our primary investor is a veteran entrepreneur in the world of consumer internet services. He has created and sold two previous consumer internet companies for a combined amount of over $1 billion. Confluence Commons is his next hot idea.

We are developing a brand-new internet service that will appeal to tens of millions of internet users.

Your qualities:
- Strong experience with consumer software and/or internet products
- Amazing savvy with internet services and consumer internet offerings. The internet is an integral part of your life ? you can?t live without it
- Experience directly managing product managers, or the clear ability to make this leap
- Willingness to be the only product management resource until there is a business need to hire more product managers. You will be working in the trenches until such time
- Strong experience working with the Agile development methodology
- Strong project management skill set ? you?ll be working very closely with a Development Manager and Software Engineers to direct their efforts
- Fundamental knowledge of internet protocols and how web applications work
- Know how to gather accurate time estimates for product development and release
- Know how to create product requirement documents, feature backlogs, and product roadmaps
- Local candidates preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills

The position:
- Full-time permanent employee, full-time contractor, or part-time contractor for initial work
- Good benefit package for employees
- Work location is just off of Pearl Street in Boulder
