Product Manager - Wireless

MapQuest offers Internet, mobile, business solutions, and published products worldwide. MapQuest.com, both the top mapping and directories site on the Web according to comScore Media Metrix, served more than 46 million users in April, 2006. MapQuest, a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL LLC, is based in Denver, Colorado.

MapQuest is currently seeking a Product Manager to lead and support its wireless application product portfolio. This position will be responsible for:

+ Serving as the product owner and champion for MapQuest's wireless product portfolio.
+ Accountability for meeting revenue obligations.
+ Developing and managing wireless product roadmaps.
+ Developing market and product requirements documents, positioning and value proposition.
+ Identifying, specifying, and validating new wireless product and market opportunities.
+ Working with partners on launch of new products
+ Managing relationships with development partners
+ Managing the product life cycle through obsolescence
+ Attending trade shows, and customer meetings
+ Validating product concepts using market/customer research.
+ Evaluating competitive products.
+ Coordinating with marketing and business development for the introduction of new products.

Qualifications: (Please review carefully)

+ Mandatory 2 years experience in working with US Wireless carriers in launch of J2ME, BREW, and WAP products
+ Mandatory 5 years experience in product management of consumer based products, including revenue accountability.
+ Strong experience in marketing, and project management.
+ Detailed understanding of Location Based Services (LBS), voice guided navigation, GPS, and wireless markets.
+ Understanding of J2ME and BREW environments
+ Very creative

Education
